Spider Vein Treatment

Varicose veins are large, raised, swollen blood vessels that twist and turn. They usually develop in the legs and can be seen through the skin. Spider veins are smaller, red, purple, and blue vessels that also twist and turn. Spider veins are easily visible through the skin, as well. They are typically visible on the legs and face. Baseline evaluations and treatment plans which may inlcude sclerotherapy, laser treatment and vascular surgery intervention can be determined by your physician.

Sclerotherapy

Effectively treats spider veins that involves injecting a solution directly into the vein. It is often considered the treatment of choice for these small varicose veins. The solution causes the vein to scar, forcing blood to reroute through healthier veins. The collapsed vein is reabsorbed into local tissue and eventually fades within a few weeks to a month.

Asclera
A type of sclerotherapy injection with the active ingredient polidocanol – a sclerosing agent that locally damages the endothelium of blood vessels.
