PRP/PRF Injections

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) are both blood-based treatments that use platelets to rejuvenate skin, improve hair, and treat injuries. The main differences between PRP and PRF are the preparation method, the concentration of platelets and growth factors, and the clinical applications. PRP is processed with anticoagulants, while PRF is extracted naturally. PRF contains more growth factors than PRP and releases them more slowly.
Both treatments use a patient’s own blood to stimulate the production of collagen and improve the overall appearance of the skin.
Injections can also be used for hair growth restoration by helping your body reactivate its inactive hair follicles and grow brand-new hair with a thicker diameter. On average, the benefits of PRP Treatments last forever; however, most patients will need to repeat PRP treatment after an average of one year in order to maintain the hair growth effects.
