Lauren ensures smooth workflow and exceptional patient care. With strong organizational skills and attention to detail, Lauren keeps the office running efficiently. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys staying active and spending time with her family.
Edward Matthews
Edward Matthews serves as the Operations Manager at Dermatology Consultants, where he plays a vital role in ensuring our clinics run smoothly and efficiently. With nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare administration and operations, Edward is passionate about creating seamless systems that support both our team and the patients we serve.
He oversees daily operations across all locations, focusing on improving processes, enhancing the patient experience, and supporting long-term growth. Edward works closely with staff at every level to streamline workflows, monitor performance, and maintain the high standards of care Dermatology Consultants is known for.
Kim Gooden
Kimberly H. Gooden, CMOM, CPCD is a certified medical office manager and certified professional coder in dermatology. She is also a consultant and COO in the field of dermatology.
Kim considers one of her strongest contributions to the specialty of dermatology is her ability to grow a company into a full-service dermatology practice, and develop leaders within the organization. She has also developed start up dermatology practices throughout her career.
Kim is a past president of the National Association of Dermatology Administrators and Managers (ADAM). During her presidency with ADAM, Kim led the initiative to develop a dermatology specific coding certification (CPCD) administered by the AAPC.
Kim is also a founder and former president of Georgia’s Dermatology Managers Association (DMA of Georgia) which is now a national organization continuing as DMA. Kim has published articles in various dermatology specific publications. Kim continues her consulting and speaking services across the country in the field of Dermatology.
In her spare time, Kim loves spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter. She also loves to sing and write poetry.
Amanda Gooden
Amanda Gooden, our Covington & Decatur Office Manager, is the go-to person for keeping our practice running smoothly. With 5 years in healthcare management and 12 years in direct patient care Amanda excels at coordinating our team, handling the day-to-day operations, and making sure our patients feel welcomed and cared for. She is skilled in streamlining workflows and managing administrative tasks as well as billing, EMR function, patient relations, and is dedicated to maintaining a positive and efficient environment for everyone. Amanda is known for her strong organizational skills and commitment to helping the practice excel.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys cooking and traveling.
