How does Spectra work?

October 28, 2018

Spectra emits laser pulses to heat the thin layers of collagen and skin tissue, which delivers quick bursts of energy to treat tattoos, pigmentation, sun spots, and melasma. Or, slower bursts can shrink pores, tone skin, and fight acne. The wavelength and heat levels can be further altered to address vascular lesions such as broken blood vessels or even rosacea.

A peel can also be performed with the Spectra laser. The Spectra with Carbon Peel is used to treat a multitude of problems. During this simple procedure, a carbon-based lotion is applied to the face. The Spectra laser is then used to peel off the lotion, beginning a process of skin cell stimulation and exfoliation. The Spectra Peel can offer amazing results of reduced pore size, smoother skin texture, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and reduced oil production.

Generally, a Carbon treatment typically takes only about 30 minutes to administer, and most people find the procedure very comfortable. A series of treatments are recommended to enhance results. The treatment can only be administered by our laser-certified technicians.
