How it works?

Ellacor® does not use thermal heat, lasers or surgery. It uses tiny hollow needles to remove micro-cores of skin. The result is a noticeable reduction of wrinkles without evidence of scarring. Your skin will look smoother, tighter, and more youthful.

How is ellacor® different from other skin revitalization devices?

Ellacor® removes skin on the micro-scale, whereas many other skin revitalization devices use heat generated by laser, radiofrequency and ultrasound to induce intentional thermal injury to the skin.

Is ellacor FDA approved?

A safe natural solution to aging skin, Ellacor® is FDA cleared for use by medical professionals to treat moderate and severe wrinkles in the mid and lower face.

How many procedures will I need?

As every patient has different needs, we recommend you speak with us to determine the treatment plan that is right for you. In the clinical trial, most patients underwent a series of three procedures spaced approximately 30 days apart.

How long is a typical procedure?

An ellacor® procedure typically takes about 30 minutes or less

Is the procedure painful?

Your physician will provide you with appropriate anesthesia prior to the procedure to make you more comfortable. Most patients in our clinical trial reported pain during the procedure as less than 2 on a 0-10 scale.

Is the recovery time long?

In clinical trials, 70% of patients were comfortable going out in public or returning to work 3 days after the procedure. Since every patient heals at different rates, there may still be mild side effects present after this time.

Does ellacor® use laser, radiofrequency, or ultrasound energy?

No. Ellacor® removes skin on the micro-scale without the use of thermal energy.

How is ellacor® different from microneedling?

Microneedling uses small needles to injure the tissue, but it does not actually remove the tissue. Ellacor® is the first device to actually remove skin on the micro-scale.

Can I receive ellacor® while pregnant?

No. Like other aesthetic procedures, ellacor® is not approved for use in expectant or lactating mothers.

Can I receive ellacor® if I have a darker skin tone?

Because darker skin types may react differently to aesthetic procedures than lighter skin types, a separate clinical study is needed to evaluate using ellacor® on darker skin types.

How should I prepare for the ellacor® procedure?
