Acne scars more than skin!
“Pizza face!” “Crater face!”
Sure, bad acne can leave scars on your skin. But, the emotional damage can be longer lasting… and go much deeper.
Let’s face it, teenage years are difficult enough. Trying to figure out who you are. Social Anxiety. Peer pressure. Changing hormones. Now, with social media, it’s worse than ever. A bad complexion can become the butt of jokes, name calling, even bullying. Kids aren’t nice.
We’re here to help. We understand the emotional impact that acne can cause. That’s why we have a number of powerful remedies and treatments for your teenager.
Teen Facial
Our teen facial is specifically designed to address the unique needs of our younger patients that are beginning to experience hormonal changes, breakouts, and clogged pores. This is a simple skin care routine to maintain that youthful, glowing, healthy appearance that we associate with younger skin.
Isotretinoin Medications
Isotretinoin is a drug used to treat severe acne that hasn’t responded to other treatments. These oral medications are prescribed by your physician. Available in a variety of brand names, including Absorica, Amnesteem, Claravis, Myorisan, and Sotret. The original brand, Accutane, is no longer on the market.
LED Light Therapy
This is a pain-free, non-invasive, soothing and rejuvenating skin treatment. It helps treat acne breakouts, post inflammatory scarring, and boosts collagen production by using clinically-proven wavelengths of UV-free LED lights.
We recommend bringing your teenager in for an appointment. We will help customize a personal plan and routine for healthier skin. We believe you’ll both feel better.
Hopefully, you’ll never have to hear “Hey, Pizza Face!” again.
