Our board-certified dermatologists are skilled in treating a wide spectrum of skin conditions, from acne, rosacea and vitiligo to life-threatening melanoma and other cancers. We have many years of training and experience in using lasers, other forms of surgery, medications and skin peels to treat individual problems. As a leader in the field of dermatology, we are committed to providing the finest possible medical care to you and your family.

Medical Treatments

General Dermatology is a comprehensive medical science that consists of diagnosing conditions of the skin, hair, and nails. We take a comprehensive approach to treating a variety of conditions such as eczema, rosace, acne, psoriasis, nail fungus, alopecia, cold sores, skin infections and more. Our goal is to help each of our patients achieve healthy, beautiful skin through surveillance, treatment and proper skin care.

Surgical Treatments

Mohs micrographic surgery is a special technique for the removal of skin cancers and other growths that is recognized by many as the most effective treatment option for basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. The team at Dermatology Consultants is highly experienced in performing Mohs micrographic surgery.

After removing the cancerous tumor, we carefully examine the surrounding skin under a microscope to be sure all the malignant cells have been removed. If necessary, we then take off more skin, and check again. Our goal is to be sure that the dangerous cancer cells are gone, while sparing as much of the healthy skin as possible. Mohs surgery is most often used for large and aggressive skin cancers.

Botox Cosmetic

Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate-to-severe frown lines for a short period of time. It can be used to treat the frown lines between the brows on your forehead, the glabella (also known as the “11’s”) or the crows feet. With just a short visit, you can erase the lines away within a few days, giving you a more youthful but natural appearance that lasts between three and six months.

Botox can also be used to treat Hyperhidrosis and Migraine Headaches. Hyperhidrosis, a condition that involves excessive sweating, can be generalized to specific areas of the body; however, any part can be affected. Most commonly affected body parts include the armpits, hands, feet and back, due to a high concentration of sweat glands. This treatment can see a dramatic reduction in sweating within two to four weeks, and can last up to seven months. Chronic migraine is a debilitating condition characterized by moderate to severe headaches and nausea. Botox is now FDA approved for injection if indicated for the prophylaxis of headaches in adult patients with chronic migraine (15 days per month with headache lasting four hours a day or longer).
